Print your own personalized social stationery on a working 1910 treadle-operated platen letterpress. You and a friend will learn how to typeset your name(s) or short phrase using our collection of metal type, set up the press, and print.
We provide 100% cotton card stock (118# cover) in a choice of bright white, white, or ivory. Ink choices are black, white, reflex blue, process blue, warm red, green or yellow.
For this workshop, both people will print the same word/phrase, but you’ll each get your own set of 25 (50 cards/envelopes total).

Add-On Options
Add-ons can be added at scheduling time but must be paid in full no later than two weeks before scheduled date. Additional time (approximately 1 hour depending on selections) will be taken into consideration when scheduling.
Corner Rounding - $15
Round the corners of your note cards for a polished, professional finish.
Foil Pressed Envelopes - $50
Elevate your envelopes with a gold, silver, or colored foil design printed on the flap using decorative ornaments in our letterpress type collection.
Wax Seal Lesson - $25
Learn to seal envelopes with wax. This add-on is a demonstration that includes tips and recommendations for doing your own wax seals on stationery.
How to schedule
- Purchase the workshop. In the notes section at purchase, you can indicate any add-ons you're interested in as well as dates you're interested in scheduling.
- Within 48 hours of placing your order, we'll reach out to set up a consultation time to schedule and discuss a plan for your workshop.
- If you have any add-ons, we'll send you a separate invoice. Workshop and add-ons must all be paid no later than 2 weeks in advance of scheduled workshop date.
