Print your own letterpress holiday cards on a 1910 treadle-operated platen press using your own design or one of ours. Enjoy creative time together and leave with beautifully handcrafted holiday cards to share with friends and family.
Workshop options begin at $300. Personalized versions, including a name, family name, or short closing line, are $375.
For this workshop, you’ll work together to print up to 50 copies of the same holiday card design in one ink color.
You provide your design or choose one of our three templates.
The workshop includes one polymer plate printed from your chosen design. We provide 100% cotton folded A2 cards (white) and matching envelopes. Choose from our in-house ink colors, or select a custom ink color for an additional $40.
Note that “our home to yours” template is a FLAT card and is available in three color options: bright white, soft white, and mint. Specify paper color for this template in the notes section at purchase.

For the 2026 holiday season, DIY Holiday Card Workshops must be booked no later than September 15 and scheduled no later than November 8.
- Consultation and advice on paper selection, ink choices, and similar details
- Instruction and assistance for letterpress printing
- Ink and general studio supplies
- 50 white folded A2 cards and matching envelopes (100% cotton, 110#) or 50 flat cards and matching envelopes (100% cotton, 110#)
- One polymer plate (up to 50 square inches) for your original design
- Our cozy, bright studio all to yourselves. (Theresa will be with you, but we'll be closed during your workshop.)
Round the corners of your invitations for a polished, professional finish. This add-on may not be possible on certain paper types.

- Purchase the workshop online, choosing your artwork or one of our templates. If you have any add-ons, we'll send you a separate invoice. Workshop and add-ons must all be paid no later than 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled workshop date.

If you select a personalized card option, please include the exact wording you would like printed. If selecting the “our home to yours” flat card template, please also include your paper color choice: bright white, soft white, or mint.
Final artwork must be approved before booking the workshop.
Handmade or special paper may be used with advance approval. We'll review your paper together to ensure it's suitable for letterpress printing.
Please note that operating the letterpress requires standing for extended periods and using a foot treadle (similar to a sewing machine pedal) to run the press. Both participants must sign a safety waiver onsite acknowledging the use of heavy machinery, sharp tools, and materials that require careful handling. All equipment will be used under direct supervision.

If you'd rather skip the workshop, we also offer custom letterpress holiday cards printed on our 1910 press. Choose one of the Open to Being holiday card designs featured in this workshop and personalize it with your family name or greeting.
Pricing is $375 for 50 one-color A2 cards with matching envelopes (100% cotton).
For the 2026 holiday season, custom printing orders must be paid in full by September 15 for delivery by November 15.
