Process

Each of these is printed on paper that was ink wiped with blue, green, and purple in various combinations, then printed with typeset lettering. The technique of ink wiping involves letting paper move in reverse through the rollers in a Vandercook cyclinder press, resulting in unpredictable coloring on both sides of the paper. Solvents can be added to the rollers to create variations in inking as well, and some pages are put through multiple times.
