Learn letterpress printing on a treadle-operated platen press in a completely personalized environment. You'll learn platen press operation basics, typesetting (metal type), printing technique, and cleanup procedures.
Whether you're exploring letterpress as a new hobby, want to understand how to operate your own press, or have a specific project in mind, private instruction gives you the foundation and confidence to continue your letterpress journey.
You’ll gain experience in:
• press setup, cleanup, and safety;
• typesetting and registration basics;
• inking and printing technique; and
• resources and recommendations for continued learning
Three hours (minimum).
What's included

One-on-one letterpress instruction in our studio (closed to public during your workshop) to include press operation training (setup, printing, cleanup).

Hands-on practice with metal type, polymer plates, letterpress inks, and platen letterpress printing.
- Printing supplies (ink, practice paper). You provide special or recommended paper.
