"Waves" monoprint (unframed)

This abstract arrangement of blue ocean waves was created from commas and apostrophes and hand-inked for color variations. Each print shows the same composition but is a unique work of art.

Because each is slightly different, the edition you receive may not look exactly like those featured in the listing.

Process

Wood type commas were arranged and set on the bed of a cylinder press. Each monoprint was hand-inked in a way that creates texture and variations in depth of color. 

A monoprint is a variable edition print, each one unique but part of a series; in this case, the composition is the same and was printed repeatedly, but each one was inked differently.
